Comments:
The PJR-70 is part of the "Precision Bass Lyte" series, which was designed to offer a more ergonomic and versatile alternative to the traditional, heavier P-Bass. The Lyte series was produced in Japan during the late 1980s and 1990s. These basses were known for their contoured, lightweight bodies and a slim neck profile similar to a Jazz Bass. Unlike a standard P-Bass, the Lyte features a "P/J" pickup configuration (a split-coil in the neck and a single-coil in the bridge) for a wider range of tones, and includes an active preamp requiring a 9V battery, which provides powerful EQ controls. This particular model features a beautiful Dark Black Metallic finish with gold hardware and high-quality sealed tuners.
