Comments:

Introduced in late 1972 (released in 1973), the Telecaster Deluxe was designed as Fender's top-tier Telecaster to compete with the Gibson Les Paul. It was the first solid-body Telecaster to feature dual humbucking pickups. The Mocha Brown finish, also commonly referred to as Walnut, became a staple for Fender in the 1970s and is one of the most iconic colours for this specific model. The guitar features Wide Range Humbuckers designed by Seth Lover, the original inventor of Gibson's PAF humbucker. Unlike standard Telecasters, the Deluxe borrowed several features from the Stratocaster, including the large headstock, a contoured "belly cut" body for comfort, and a hardtail bridge with six adjustable saddles.
