The Stone Roses were the leading light of the Madchester scene and were the catalyst for many bands such as Oasis, Blur, Primal Scream and many others. In 2012 the band reformed unsealing over 250,000 tickets in under 10 minutes for their reunion tours.

The instrument is one of the most important John Squire/Stone Roses guitars that has been offered for public sale. Used and played at the bands secret 2012 Parr Hall Concert and later throughout the band's reunion tour it carries John's own personal stamping to rear  “WARRINGTON PARR HALL 23-5 -12 “  which was to commemorate one of the most important reunions of the Madchester movement.
