History
The following instrument was purchased, used in 1970 from the the London music store, Top Gear by British guitarist David Brown of the band, Brave New World. Top Gear was the guitar store of choice within the London scene and was famously frequented by Jimi Hendrix , Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton . After Browns purchase he played the instrument at various university and club venues within Northern England and later in circa 1971 - 1972 Ā it was often played and used by his long standing friend and fellow guitarist Mick Ronson who based on his preference, requested the guitar be re-fretted, replacing the original fretless wonder frets

Mick Ronson's use of Les Paul is synonymous with his sound, tone and look during his time with David Bowie Spiders From Mars. With his most iconic guitar being that of another Ā original 1968 Black Gibson Les Paul Custom that he later stripped to Natural.
