Comments:
The LG-2 was first introduced in 1942 during the "Banner Era" as a successor to the L-00. It was designed to offer the "full-sized Gibson sound"—comparable to a J-45—but in a smaller, more comfortable "Small Body" format. By the 1950s, the LG-2 had become a legendary "workhorse" acoustic, favoured by folk, blues, and fingerstyle players for its clarity and punchy midrange. This modern reissue is part of Gibson's Original Collection, which aims to faithfully replicate 1950s-era specs including hand-scalloped X-bracing and a historic neck profile. It features a factory-installed LR Baggs VTC pickup system.
