Comments:
The Gretsch Roundup (Model 6130 and later 6121) was introduced in 1953/1954 as one of Gretsch’s first "solid body" electric guitars, though they were actually chambered to reduce weight. Original models featured extreme Western motifs, including a "G" brand on the top, a belt-buckle tailpiece, and leather-tooled sides with brass studs. After the Baldwin family regained control in 1989, Gretsch began manufacturing guitars in Japan at the Terada factory. This 1990 model belongs to this era. These were high-quality reissues that often combined features from different years (e.g., modern Filter'Tron pickups with 50s-style Western inlays).
