The G6119 Tennessee Rose is the modern successor to the 1958 Chet Atkins Tennessean. In the late 1990s, Gretsch produced these guitars at the renowned Terada factory in Japan. This specific era of the Tennessee Rose is characterized by a deeper 2.5-inch hollow body compared to later "Players Edition" models, offering a more traditional, resonant acoustic character. The "Cherry Red" finish (officially Deep Cherry Stain) is the signature look for this model, designed to emulate the aging of original 1960s instruments.
