This K. Yairi YW-500P was manufactured in 1976 at the Yairi workshop in Kani, Japan. It is a prestigious, handmade dreadnought from the "Golden Era" of Japanese acoustic luthiery. Like its inspiration, the Martin D-35 it features a distinctive three-piece back construction. K. Yairi is known for air-drying tonewoods naturally for decades at their own onsite timber mill before crafting instruments by hand. This model was hand-signed by the master luthier on the internal label. This model is known for its ornate multi-ply hand-layered binding and rosette, often featuring pearl or abalone-style inlays that give it a luxury appearance similar to Martin 40-series guitars.
